CSV to Line Graph

Plotiq's line graph maker reads your CSV, detects numeric columns, and renders a live, interactive graph. Tweak axes, colors, and the title, then export exactly what you see.

Built for analysts, students, and PMs who need a quick graph — not a pipeline.

1. Drop a CSV into the browser

Upload or paste any CSV file — Plotiq handles quoted commas, UTF-8, and auto-detects the separator.

2. Pick X and numeric Y columns

The X axis is usually dates or an index. Each Y column becomes its own color-coded line on the graph.

3. Export the line graph

Save as PNG for quick sharing, PDF for print, or SVG for Figma / Illustrator editing.

What's the difference between a line chart and a line graph?

Nothing meaningful — the terms are interchangeable. Both plot a series of values as points connected by lines, usually against time or an ordered X axis.

Can I show dates on the X axis of the line graph?

Yes. Plotiq recognises ISO 8601, US (m/d/yyyy), and EU (d-m-yyyy) date formats and renders a time-aware X axis with smart tick spacing.

How many data points can a line graph render smoothly?

Up to 5,000 data rows per CSV, comfortably above the threshold where a line graph stays readable on screen.

Can I plot multiple series on one line graph?

Yes. Select as many numeric Y columns as you want — each renders as its own line with a legend entry. Click a swatch to recolor any series.
