CSV to Line Chart

Drop a CSV, pick the X axis, select the Y columns, and Plotiq renders an interactive line chart instantly. Edit the title, recolor series, and export at 1080p or higher.

Great for time-series, KPI trendlines, and month-over-month reports.

1. Upload or paste your CSV

Drop a .csv file or paste raw CSV text into the input pane. Plotiq auto-detects the separator.

2. Pick the X and Y columns

Choose one X column (often dates or an index) and one or more numeric Y columns to plot.

3. Export the chart

Download your line chart as PNG, JPG, PDF, or SVG — up to 5K resolution when you need it.

What CSV formats does the line chart tool accept?

Comma, semicolon, tab, and pipe-separated files. Plotiq auto-detects the delimiter and preserves leading-zero IDs, quoted fields, and UTF-8 strings.

How do I plot multiple lines on the same chart?

After uploading, select one X column (dates or index) and as many numeric Y columns as you want — each becomes a color-coded line with its own legend entry.

Can I export the line chart at high resolution?

Yes. PNG and JPG export at Standard (1080p), High (2K), Ultra (4K), or 5K. PDF and SVG export as vector, so they stay crisp at any zoom.

Is my CSV uploaded to a server?

No. Parsing, rendering, and export all run inside your browser. Nothing touches our servers.

What's the maximum CSV size for a line chart?

Up to 10 MB and 5,000 data rows per conversion — comfortably above what an interactive chart renders smoothly on screen.
