CSV to Bar Chart

Upload a CSV, choose the category column and one or more numeric columns, and Plotiq produces a bar chart ready to drop into a deck or export at high resolution.

Ideal for quarterly comparisons, survey results, and regional breakdowns.

1. Upload your CSV file

Drop a .csv file into the input pane or paste CSV text. Plotiq auto-detects the separator and parses live.

2. Pick category + value columns

Choose one category column (bar labels) and one or more numeric columns (bar heights) to plot.

3. Generate and download

Recolor bars, edit the title, then export as PNG / JPG / PDF / SVG at up to 5K resolution.

What shape should my CSV have for a bar chart?

Two columns at minimum: a categorical column (the bar labels) and a numeric column (the bar heights). Add more numeric columns for grouped bars.

Can I make a grouped or stacked bar chart?

Grouped — yes, by selecting multiple numeric Y columns. Stacked — pre-sum the series in your CSV or use cumulative columns as Y selections.

How do I control the order of bars?

Bars appear in CSV row order. To sort by value, sort your source CSV before upload; Plotiq preserves the order you give it.

Are exports high enough resolution for print?

Yes. PDF and SVG are vector (scale to any size); PNG/JPG up to 5K covers print-ready quality.
